Umbrella Safety Guide

Safety is our top priority. Beach umbrellas can be dangerous if not handled correctly. Follow these essential steps to ensure a safe experience for yourself and others on the beach.

01

Choose & Check

Pick a spot with clear space. Always check local wind conditions; if it is too windy for others, do not open yours.

02

Deep Anchor

Bury the lower pole at least 30-40cm into the sand. Use a rocking or twisting motion to ensure it's firmly anchored.

03

Tilt & Open

Position the umbrella slightly into the wind. Open carefully, ensuring no fabric or ribs are caught before locking the mechanism.

04

Never Unattended

A gust can lift an umbrella in seconds. Never leave it open and unattended. If you leave your spot, close it immediately.

05

Strong Winds

In strong or gusty winds, umbrellas must remain closed. Safety is non-negotiable; you are liable for any damage caused by negligence.

06

Departure Check

Before leaving the beach: Close the canopy, lower the pole, and ensure no rental gear or personal litter is left behind.
